4 in 10 people with a visible difference say their appearance affects how well they did at school. Bullying, lack of concentration, and anxiety are just a few problems they have to deal with. So to tackle the route of these issues and catch the biases before they’re created, we created a rare, special edition toy range with scars, marks and conditions to normalise visible differences from a young age. Children between the ages of 3-5 years to be exact, as that’s when they start forming complex social categories and may show biases based on gender, race, or other visible characteristics.
